Graduated from the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, National Taiwan University and received a Ph.D. in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Currently a professor in the Department of Geography, National Taiwan Normal University. Research expertise in Asian-Australian monsoon, climate change, Taiwan climate, Taiwan meteorological history, etc.
