Dr. Huan-Yu Lin works in Department of forestry and natural resources, Ilan University. He has worked for Taiwan Forestry Research Institute and Taipei Botanical Garden since 2011 and devoted his expertise to the ex-situ conservation of threatened species in recent years. He is one of the members responsible for designing the ex-situ plant conservation network for botanical gardens in Taiwan. His research interests include (1) application of aerial photography and GIS in ecological research and forestry management, (2) the distribution of plant biodiversity hotspots and area of endemism, and (3) the impacts of climate change on forest ecosystems in Taiwan.
