Six Steps to Climate Adjustment

The National Science Committee promoted the Taiwan integrated research program on Climate Change Adaptation Technology (TaiCCAT) in 2009, with reference to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) adaptation policy framework and the United Kingdom Climate Change Impact Plan (UKCIP). ) Adaptation Wizard, European Climate Change Adaptation Platform (Climate-ADAPT) adaptation support tool and other frameworks, develop a six-step support decision-making system, hoping to use corresponding tools to help users formulate appropriate adaptation strategies or policies.

The six steps include defining the problem and setting goals, analyzing the current situation, assessing future risks, reviewing adjustment options, planning and executing adjustment paths, monitoring and correction, etc. Taking user orientation and problem solving orientation as the starting point, heuristic learning tools are designed. And continue to make rolling corrections through a cyclic process.
